Dominance War IV | 12 hour Grace Period Extension

[Aftermath]

This is a Dominance War IV Important Update.

Due to hundreds of users trying to submit their DW finals at the same time, the DW
system is doing some spectacular and extraordinary crashes. To compensate, a 12 hour
extension has been given to insure everyone gets their entries in some time tonight.


If you get a white page error saying sorry after a list of code - please try again
and again until it works. This is for submitting images, titles, urls, and/or
getting into your personal entry page.

If problem persists all night, please contact me at fredh@dominancewar.com and
include the following info in your email:
Your user name:
Your entry title:
Your thread url:
Your technical issue and error message:

Just a little question,

This grace period applies only to those who finished (showed the finals in the thread) so they can submit the finals ?

Or it can also be used to actually finish the entries?

I don't think i will have the time to finish, but I could give it a try :)

Lol on sat eve i had the top half of a high poly finished and nothing else. By monday night (having worked the crunch during monday day on our current project) i had a finished model...Dom war done in 3 days lol.

However realising i'd never so much as placed a light in a scene in maya let alone rendered i submitted a fairly lame looking image, along with one wireframe viewport grab for my construction shot, my hideous 2 minute concept image and an awful render of front and back views that shows how unfinished my model is on his back....i think i may even have forgotten to include a shot of my final tri count

...gutted i spent the last 15 mins before deadline last night clicking refresh so that i could submit it all lol

There's a thread in this section that boxfox started and that others have been contributing to called "Lessons I Learned In My First Dominance War (http://www.gameartisans.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9201)." Not one but several of the submitted lessons have to do with pacing yourself (and starting the bulk of your entry 4 days after the initially-scheduled deadline does not actually count as pacing one's self! :) ) Better luck next year! :thumb:

Will there be another post that lists all of the submitted entries so people can check if their submissions have gone through? Last year I remembered some people didn't see or forgot to hit the final submission button after they uploaded their artworks.

i'm with silent_fox in wondering if there was going to be a list of who finished just to make sure. i wanted to double check to make sure i submited it right but it wont let me since the due date is way pass. also it will be nice to see all the finalist since there are so many entries.
