Just wanted to show what I started over the weekend, it is based off of a bad ass character concept from my library (not sure who the artist is, so if you know, please help me give the artist's name for credit). I tried starting from zspheres (still an odd process) then fleshed it out some more using brushes. Next I brought in the mesh and cleaned it up using polyboost, along with modeling new areas such as creating a new head from a bighorn picture, so that will need the most tweaking to get closer to the concept. Then I created some of the parts to get an idea of what the final might look like, such as the horns, and armor (which I am still working on fleshing those out). The final image is the base mesh brought into zbrush 3.1, and with the added subtools, just checked the mesh and started fleshing it out more when I decided to give it a rest. Any comments and crits are welcome, and I appreciate you guys checking it out.

Great sculpting and all but the character feels like he could fall at any moment, I would definitely work on his posture. I'm looking forward to the next update :D.

agree. he should be standing up right as he is in the concept.
also the thigh looks too think and the pecs look too short at the moment and the fore arm should be longer i think.

lookin good man.
- i agree with mashru on both parts, also adding more to the bottom of the butt will help, where it flows into the thigh (if there anatomy is human right there?) Back feels a tad flat... though it'll be covered, having the shoudelr blades stick out (as i would think in that pose they would) will help, and getting some of those nice forms, like the abs you got going.
-I'd say his antlers could be spread apart more like in the concept, it'll help make him feel more grounded. Also extending the mass of them try and follow the concept on those , cause it looks really nice, and with the shoulder pads will have a nice strong top.
- bigger shoulders might help too, they seem to be bigger in the concept and give him more stature.
I know this is all a start, amazed I actually have crits for you. Looking forward to the progress!

You might want to have the head a little bigger and have the butt sit back a little bit. Also, the chest looks a little wierd right now. Great sculpting by the way..
be sure to try and remove the mirror effect.

LOVE the concept, the sizing on everything is excellent. I hope the model matches it nicely.

Looking hot, Spark. Not at all what I thought it was going to be based on the title. It's looking really neat, I agree about his pose..but I'm sure you could do the work you have to do and then pose him afterwards. Love the shoulders so far. It may be cliche, but have you considered breaking/ damaging one of his horns just to throw off the symmetry?
Cheers man, looking forward to more.

The horns seem a little too small and puny - you should beef them up a bit to make him seem more formidable

I think you're character's really cool. But, I think you can take alot from Pan's Labyrinth. Check it out if you haven't already.
