The one on the trailer is Hal Jordan, fighter jet test pilot turned GL, he's probably the favorite Lantern for most. Since there are lots of other GLs protecting various sectors of the universe, there has been others to have taken over the mantle over the years. The black GL you are referring to is John Stewart, known mostly due to his appearance on the Justice League animated cartoon series. :)

The trailer is really just fan made, it's really good though:D there's also an animated movie coming out or maybe it's out already.

LOL, not at all, I was fooled by it as well, really nicely done except for the edited Star Trek stuff, and using actor Nathan Fillion was better than the rumors of having Chris Pine on the lead part of Hal Jordan. Seriously, I think big time studios should learn to listen to the fans more than just making money and ending up picking poor choices on these fave franchises,hehe.

Is that by the same guy that did that Thundercats trailer that was posted a while back? I found it believable until the did that edited group shot from Fantastic Four.

i thought it was good the bits that give it away was the star treck skydive bit and im sure theres a clip of riddick in there,the meditation bit is from the film the fountian

This was really well done. We all recognize different clips from other a sources - for me, the first one was a Fillion shot from 'Firefly' which instantly gave it away, 'though the sky-diving scene from the recent Trek was another one... but if you look at his list of sources, it seems like practically the whole thing was clips from elsewhere. When you think of it that way, it's really pretty amazing there were only a couple of scenes that DID stick out as familiar! :) So overall: Very nicely assembled.

Very well done for a fan made trailer.

There was a few shots form Firefly, Star Trek, Fantastic 4, Iron Man, Bedtime Stories, Planet of the Apes, Star Wars, Matrix, Super Man Returns, and a few others I could not place. They also used a small part from the Justis League cartoon opening. What I really loved was the voice over lifted from Lord of the Rings. (can you tell I watch a lot of movies ;) )

What is driving me crazy is I cannot remember where the last scene is from, where he is sitting down talking about having super powers. Anyone know where that was lifted form?
