Unearthly Challenge happens around the end of august, so we still got a little over 2 months till then:)

Yeah, it's totally possible to win UC by oneself. Of course, your chances increase with the amount of pre-experience you have in setting the foundations for an environment and quickly finishing it up. If you made levels before, you know what you can and cannot achieve during this comp. If you haven't made a level before or if you are super busy at work, partners are a great alternative. Team or alone, each one has it's advantages and disadvantages.

I agree to set UC 1st then Comicon. Coz we have been pass the character contest (DW), if we run the character contest again (Comicon), can't be a bit boring or lazy. :think:

Have a good vacation FredH, go relax in a jacuzzi and put your feet up or whatever it is you do to relax. Some people like white water rapids and like another person's idea of a vaction is climbing Mt. Everest..go figure.

I'll guess that:
1) They are not ready, need more time to get sponsors and stuff together between the participating forums and leaders.
2)The other forums could also or are handling competitions as well as UC. They also may not be ready.
3) need time to update UC site as well
4) still not done with Comic Con judging and posting results
5) then updating all of our Personal stats here on the forum

6) The new 3-d minicomp that conincidentially ends in 10 days(on the 26th?), what no 2-d minicomp? We in the 2D want to keep busy too!!

I expect it's busy and there's speedbumps to get over. The Forum Leaders have lives just like we do . I've been a moderator for a small guild before, it's alot of work to keep a forum board together, monitor it and organize events(especially 2 big comps at the same time.) I did moderating for about two years until I retired from the guild.

you could probably combine it with a school project if you happen to have a 3d class at the same time as the competition i suppose. I've done that in the past with smaller mini comps on other forums.
