3d Mini - ALLSTAR COSPLAY - VOTE NOW!
Voting is now open for the 3d Mini -- AllStar Cosplay. Vote anytime between now and Saturday, July 18th, 11:59pm-ish.
Like some of our minis in the past, this contest has a 'soft deadline'. This means entries can STILL BE SUBMITTED up until the time I close voting. However, those entries will not have as much time to collect votes, so get those entries up!
Voting itself is still as easy as it's always been. Just log in with 'remember me' checked, follow the link, and place your TOP FIVE votes today (yes, it's five, not three)

Congratulations to everyone that finished. There was a lot of great pieces, narrowing it down to the top 5 was not easy.
Best of luck to everyone :thumb:

that was a fun comp, learned a lot from looking at other people's work and by doing some of my own. Can't wait for the next comp, low poly needs more love (and practice!)

Would have been more fun with more participants like the Kingdom Hearts and Street Fighter ones. What were you slackers up to?

Nice work, everyone - it's going to be a tough vote! There are a lot of strong entries, although with such interesting characters in an interesting situation, posing the character appropriately certainly makes the entry so much stronger. There isn't anything in the rules about anyone needing to pose them, but if your whole goal is to sell an interesting character, posing them really helps make the sale and makes them much more interesting, don't you think?
As for me, Frump, I've been really busy with the latest CGSociety art contest - the theme is Secret Agent (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=291&t=778402&page=2)- and didn't have bandwidth for 2 contests at once. I really miss the mini-comps, but probably by the time this thing is done, it'll be time for ComicCon (I just hope they don't overlap.)

Me, well work honestly. 3k tris and a 512 just isn't mini enough for me these days. I remember back when the mini's were 750 tris, that was fun, and QUICK! :thumb: .
These are cool too, but they feel like replacements to the regular comps that used to be run (which have now evolved into MEGA COMPS, Dom war/Comic con/Unearthly). And sadly, I just can't find the time :(. I miss the mini - mini's :o

Gah, now I envy anyone who didn't enter! Jumping right from this to Comicon is risking some serious Burnout. :s At least there has been a week in between. I was already kind of getting started on a new model.

Man that sucks... Well I guess the good news is once she is gone you have no distractions so you can make up for lost time. ;)
