Hi guys, thanks for your replies
For those who don't know the Red Hulk story, here is a short summary: The character was created by Jeph Loeb (writer) and Ed McGuiness (one of my fovorite comic books artists ), and was introduced in the Hulk series since january of 2008. In some issues is also called Rulk (it's not a good term IMO) to distinguish from the original Hulk character. This red version is not russian but it so happen that his first appearance is in Russia, place where he kill to the Abomination. Later on he fights and defeats Iron Man and Thor, and finally confront Hulk. According to his creators, Red Hulk is more aggressive, intelligent and has all the abilities of the original Hulk, however, does not become stronger with anger, but rather radiates increasing levels of gamma radiation. Well, I have decided to go for this guy, but I'm not sure about the style or proportions, so I found some reference images of his variants... I like the version of him on the top left, but let me know your thoughts ![]() |

Well, here we go again!
I'm starting with the base mesh and playing a bit with the initial proportions to block in the overall shape... ![]() ![]() |

Nice shapes, and yeah I agree, the body/neck/head ratio length seems a tad too much.

Great subject matter. I love the Red Hulk story line.
With your model, watch your edge loop flow and pay particular attention to anatomy and proportion. You have a large number of verts already, but not much definition. Don't be afraid of 5-edge verts. Take a look at some anatomy books to identify connection points for the pectoralis, latismus and trapezius muscles. Getting those right in the low-poly model will really help to sell the normal mapped version. Good luck! Alec |

The proportions to the base mesh are really cool and I'm looking forward to the sculpt. Good luck!

Check out skull_monster sketchbook on zbc, he just posted an awesome hulk with the same kind of proportions as yours.
http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/sho...&page=30&pp=15 Also, he got the same problem with the head position. I think this is not really an issue because it looks good like that, could be a cool source of inspiration for you. |

Nice start, but it looks like al the muscles are ending too soon. It's like they're standinmg alone rather than extending and tucking underneath one another. Especially the neck muscles. I think maybe the shoulder muscle need to be built up in the back.
