Yes Shi is!
 Well here's what I have so far. A simple concept of what intend to do...  ...and a base mesh. No clavicle and elbows, haven't detailed it in Zbrush yet.   Last edited by pongstah : 08-11-2009 at 02:42 PM.

I made a 3d concept sketch to show guys the look I'm going for.
 Here's some references that I'm using. I think Tia Carrere's the perfect match since she was also supposed to star in the movie adaptation of Shi.

I modeled some arm protectors but they got corrupted so in my frustration I began posing her and this is what I got. She still looks kinda stiff and unnatural but I'll fix that. Just bringing all of the different subtools together first.

Looking good! But the fingers kinda bug me a bit. It feels like you bend them too much. Like you shouldn't see the knuckles if they're bent like that. You could try to put them in more relax position. Anyway, keep it up!

Wow. High poly looks awesome. But I'm still waiting for the low poly version plus the textures. Textures are very tricky IMO. You can do it man!

digitalinkmind: Thanks! I wanna put a chopstick in her hair but don't know if it will look ok since there's no bun. Maybe I''ll just put a comb there so it wouldn't look so bland.
boyluya: Thanks! Hopefully I can start retopo'ing her tommorrow. I still have some more stuff to add like her naginata and katana. I wanted to add a bow and arrow but i might look awkward id she's carrying to many bulky weapons.

Yeah, I think adding a bow won't help cause she may look like an amazon instead of a hot assassin. Just stick with the katana. Btw, I love her pose and her hair. They complement each other. The pose makes her very manly and gives her a strong personality while her hair keeps that woman side of her. They worked for me. Hope you finish this one dude, unlike your dominance war entry.
 I really wanted to join this competition but too bad I have to finish my portfolio. So I'm just rooting for you and hope you'll be able to make her kick ass. Goodluck dude.

some good stuff going on I think her mouth needs a bit more love mostly where the chin ties into the cheek it seems to sharp of an angle and her mouth is too flat maybe... keep going
