oh, i've been counting down the minutes for this challenge to begin and now it is another week... but hey... i really appreciate the work all you fellows behind this community is putting into it! without you we wouldn't have this awesome network of cool artist! so, a big thanks to everyone behind GA! whenever it starts, i bet UC 09 will be really great! and don't worry about the delays, i will be there no matter what!

Next comp, please don't do countdown clocks or announce dates. Just say it's coming in the next few months, and then sometime in the next few months start it.

Understandable and acceptable. Keeping people midly in the loop is all it takes to keep people from being super dissapointed about delays. Good looking out, and I look foward to starting.

Damn I just woke up at 5am all excited, I kinda had a feeling it wasn't gonna kick off...

I appreciate what you guys do for the community too, I can't imagine how difficult it must be to manage it all but I cant help feel a bit gutted with the 2nd delay, doesn't matter I'll just begin a new project myself woooooooo

How are ANY of you surprised?
None of the sponsor slots were populated, no further promo info had been released, and honestly when is the last major competition that started as the timer went to zero? (remember when the dom war timer was using the function that got local time so everyone saw a different time remaining? Ya? no? does it matter?)

Yes I'm excited for it to start too, but really, it will be up when its up, and we'll all know about it really soon after.

Just chill, make some warm-up bits. For what its worth there is a mini-challenge over at polycount, ending the end of the month, and while its mainly for action hero characters, there is an environment budget too. http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=64668

Ahh, someone has read the rulebook on "dates". Fred knows what he's doing. Just bring a ton of cash, I hear he has a bottomless pit for a stomach

Everyone should go and prepare for the challenge. Defrag the HDD's set up directories, download ref images, learn a new technique and practice up on common elements environments have (rocks, metal, plants), some lighting here and there... take a shower and kiss your loved ones goodbye.

OH NO it's been a while since the DWIV... now only I come back to GA... seems like I'm missed a lot of things here =P

Looks like quite packed... don't know if I can make it for this year's Unearthly Challenge entry... gotta miss the environment work XD
