Oh snap! I LOVE Devil May Cry!

I'll be watching this one very closely

Before someone says it: Yes, there was a DMC comic, it was cancelled before it finished and the story sucked (awful adaptation of DMC1) but the art was awesome. There is also a DMC3 manga, which also got cancelled but actually had a great story. (with very cluttered albiet stylish art)

I assume you are doing DMC1 Dante from the DMC1 comic, cool choice

Heh, man I was unfortunate enough to catch the DMC anime, Now that was AWFUL! All he ever did was sit around eating "Strawberry Iceuh creamuh sun-days" and occasionally have a meaningless battle aswell as avoiding any and all storyline...

lol but aside from that I hope you do well with this character

Yeah the anime was so damn uneventful, any fights that Dante did have lasted all of 2 seconds and were mostly off screen, big waste of time. Not to mention all those rubbish storylines about diner romances and stuff.. ugh.

Nice, definitely in my top 5 video game characters of all time. I also bought all the released manga books for DMC, it was actually good stuff, talked about how he received Ebony and Ivory, and some epic fighting against his brother. Will be keeping an eye on this, do Dante some epic justice

I totally forgot there was a DMC manga, Dante is a good character and I look forward to see how you display his coolness.

Thanks for all the encouragement

I never really got to play the first game.. so the comic gave a good insight into what the story was about.. I would have been missing a lot of Dante's past if not. The comic indeed had Amazing artwork.

I am not sure rite now which version I want to do... I am confused between the DMC 1 and DMC 3 version.. maybe I will do a totally different wardrobe for him, keeping the main elements like the long coat, overboots etc intact. Here is an update. C & C are appreciated.

Wow you’ve done a great job capturing the characters likeness! Do you plan on making both the gun and sword as well?

@ Marcus : I do plan to make the sword, I want to do the guns too but lets see if I will be able to do that in the current time frame... Thanks man

Here is a progress, worked on overcoat, waist coat and shoe.. some elements like straps are left on the shoe... will move on to the pants and belt next.
