Sculpting Mini: Street Fighter Busts

Theme: Street Fighter Busts

I really don't think this mini needs a brief.

Street Fighter 4 is being released in two weeks. The last bust comp went really well. Let's get doubly busty and have ourselves a "Street Fighter busts" minicomp!

The goal of this mini is to create a bust sculpt (head and shoulders) of a Street Fighter character. While you are only required to create the head and shoulders of the character, you may create a full body sculpt as well. You may NOT create your own made up character for this mini... the goal is to recreate one of the existing Street Fighter characters. There's plenty to choose from.

The Details:

-For this mini you may create your own base mesh in 3d or in zpsheres, etc.

-You are NOT restricted to only using sculpting tools (you can use 3d max/maya's tools if need be for pieces--just keep it high res).

-Base, background are optional

-textures/subtool tinting are NOT allowed for this mini--use solid, flat colors and focus on just the modeling.

EDIT: The subtool tinting rule was one that was brought to question during the course of this mini. Starting next mini it will be removed, and subtool tinting will be ok. It's a bit late to allow it for this mini, and unfortunately I had to remove a few entries with subtool tints. It likely those people missed the place in the thread where the issue had arrisen. Hopefully everyone can get their entries back up and no one is left out. If anyone has any concerns about this, please PM me.

It's strongly strongly STRONGLY encouraged that you post progress images as replies this thread. We're not forcing everyone to yet, but half of the point of these minis are to help build up the community. If you're posting last minute without at least saying hello, then you're missing all the fun! Stop lurking!

Please do not make a new thread for your entry. Keep all w.i.p shots in this specific thread.

Final Submission:

Submit one image, 1000x1000 pixels or less. This image should include a 'final Street Fighter image' (required), and any preliminary work (sketches) you wish to show (optional).

You can submit your finals here:
http://www.gameartisans.org/contests...sculpting.html

Prizes:
1st place:
- 1 new forum and gallery award icon for mini challenges
- 1 point towards raising your overall game, elite, and/or master rating
on gameartisans

2nd place:
- 1 new forum and gallery award icon for mini challenges
- 1/2 point towards raising your overall game, elite, and/or master
rating on gameartisans

3rd place:
- 1 new forum and gallery award icon for mini challenges
- .25 points towards raising your overall game, elite, and/or master rating on gameartisans

Public Voting:
All Winners are chosen through a public voting system. Only GA.org
members may vote.

Soft Deadline: Voting starts Tuesday Feb 17th, 2009, around 11:59pm! EST.

EDIT: Extension:
Due to the bug in the submission system, I've extended the time until I enable voting to WEDNESDAY Feb 18th--midnightish, EST. This should give everyone time to get their entries in. Thanks for being patient!

Go for it, troops!
Goodluck!

I know this mini is coming in pretty hot-on-the-heels of the bond mini, but we've got to do this quick. It'd be nice to have the voting for this mini coincide with the launch of Street Fighter 4 (Feb 17th)...and besides...things are about to get reeeeaal busy here at GA once DW season hits, so lets see if we can squeeze in another mini!
