Dominance War IV | 3D | Dusty | DEMONTHINGY
DEMONS! Of course I will do a demon. Blargalalgal!

My Upsdates

Posting finals. With an extra week I will surely play with his spec some more, but have these all layed out so just have to render a bunch.

Beauty

Presentation

Construction

Concept

I did a buncha thumbs and stuff and picked one outta the crowd that had a cool silhouette. I think I'll make him a death type demon lord with guts and stuff.

Threw in some zspheres for a quick blockout. I'll do some more concepts on top of it. I want him as asymmetrical as possible.

Pretty cool so far man.

If you want more asymmetry you could add an extra limb on one side, like two small right legs to balance the heavier left one.

Ooh! Subscribed to this thread!
I personally think the asymmetry is there and it's nice. The breakup in the silhouette is excellent imho.
What you may want to consider is the fact that the demon lord is supposed to have a non-humanoid physique. If you're attempting to go for a demon lord that is.

Right now, he has human proportions (sort of) and characteristics. So in that line, this one would serve brilliantly as an abomination.

Excellent work none the less, I can't wait to see more of this!

Looking clean man! Very promising! But won't you have some problems with the "adaptive skin" when you'll convert your zpheres into a basemesh ? With the hands, for example, I always have some mesh collapsing, and it really pi**es me off!

Keep up the "great and promising" work ! And i don't have a single doubt about that after having looked to your blog !

Holy shit! I love guts and stuff!

I think you should push the silhouette a little more.
I keep thinking the head and neck would look HELLA cool if it were lower.

Nice start!

Thanks guys! I did a paintover on my zspheres to play with some color. I started breaking the drawing into subtools so I can figure out where I can break up the model to make it easier modeling, and not to have a file too big to work with.
