I was thinking a while back of Odin. Yesterday the comicon 2009 banner pops into my eyes and i knew this is time for the Norse mythology.

Odin is a god of war and death, but also the god of wisdom.
I am not 100% sure in which direction I should go with him still gathering some references.

Nordic mythology is indeed very interesting but i am just curious, comic Odin is from mighty thor comicbook or he was somwhere else?

yeah odin is connected from the mighty Thor comicbook.

Odin is also a fictional character in Marvel Comics. He is the ruler of the main capital City from the northern people, the town is called Asgard.
As in Norse mythology, he is the father of Thor; unlike in North myth, he is the adoptive father of Loki.


I am not sure about the placement in the time period but i am actually collecting all pictures and articels to get more comfortable with this God.

I gather some information about his backstory and picked up some reference images,
here we go.



Character Keyreferences:

- Height: 6' 9"
- Weight: 650 lbs
- Eyes: Blue
- Hair: White and Grey
- Odin sacrificed his right eye to Mimir the All-Knowing Well of Wisdom in order to learn how to thwart Ragnarok
- Odin is attended by two mystical ravens, Hugin and Munin (whose names mean "Thought" and "Memory" respectively)
- Odin lifs in a palace at the center of Asgard's capital city, but also has a palace in Valhalla

I am not sure about his eight-legged horse "sleipner".
Maybe i will give it a try. It's something new with eight legs
