    Need help with texture

    Hello community,

I am modelling again (my last model is one year old) and I have done the modelling step itself. The next step is texturing, so I want to a ask you if you can give me some comments and critques to my texture (which is still in progress)?

Somehow the man looks boring. What will I have to do to reach that style here:

    link and here: another link

Those colours look much more powerfull.

I think you answered your own question. I think you need more colors.

If you want the colors to have more "pop" you could put a warm color up against a fairly low saturation cool color. That's what's happening in that second link the orange and the skin colors are playing off of the blue in her armor.

Well, first off, he is naked meaning you can't really do much other then stay in the same color selection. You could try maybe adding skin wrinkles, tattoos to add 'color tension' and add more variety, but then again, I don't know where you're going with this piece.

On the other hand, I'm seeing that the colors don't transition in and out easily. Try to soften the hard edges in them. Try darker and lighter tones from clashing together, but instead, fade-out more easily.

Hmm, other then that I can't comment since I don't know what the final result should be or how you're trying to push it. The links you posted have armor and all other variety of gear, and aren't exactly naked.

    Final Version

Hello guys and thank you for your critiques,

    @Ace-Angel
    > Try to soften the hard edges
You will see the final model from a higher viewpoint and I want some details to still be visible. However there are some details where you are right (for instance the edges of the brachioradialis) and I will try to fix that.

Thank you for that hint. It's one of my goals to also model armor and clothes, so I implement that tip there.

Thanks. :-) I would like to know which colours and where to add them?
Red on the chin? Brown on the knees? And so on...

Nevertheless I decided to uploaded my model on ShareCG. This way everybody can download it and hopefully critizise it better since you can view it now in three dimensions. I also added a walk cycle and I would like to get critiques for that as well.

    Final Version of the Model

Note: You will need Blender to view or convert the file but this program is free and measures only 10 MB in size.
