I think the delt/pec transition needs a bit of attention, it looks like you are already at a very high subD level without blocking in the shapes

Cheers Ben, I changed a few bits. This is my 1st next/current gen full body model so I could do with any help you guys could give me.

I'm currently on the 4th subd to work on the face, had previously not payed as much attention to the body other than to try and get the shape and proportions right, I'll probably work on the hands and arms next. Just wondering whats the best way to sculpt in chest hair, or is it better to leave this to the dif texture?

    Cheers

    hey all.

I'm still pretty much classed as a new member in here but I have been on here many times just scanning and perusing through the fine art i've seen on here and just generally getting myself inspired to be at that high-end level most of you guys are at.

Anyways, just been working on this self-portrait model for a couple days about 3-4 hours in total to understand more of the human form (this being me shown here!) and also to try and develop on being a character artist. So this summer I have to try really hard to make some realistic models but also hope to do some fun and creative ones too. After all, the developing stage is all part of the fun!

I have a first attempt of a final model of myself but I'll show you this later to compare the two once i finish this one off.

Obviously many areas need tweaking such as jaw line, eye areas etc.
Also, i'm unsure whether the torso area to arm edgeflow is ok? And also about the crotch area, would this deform ok if rigged?

    C&C always welcome.

I encourage you to make a separate thread so that everyone can get into helping you

As far as chest hairs go, you could do many things! You could simply sculpt them then could do them in your diffuse. For the extra mile, i'd say even add a few alphas to get nice volume (not so necessary if the character is going to wear something?)

    XD hey!
In the time between me writing the reply and actually "posting" it- you had made a post already XD

To make a seperate thread would definetely work for everyone! Even though my comment was directed to the above poster, theres no harm for you to make your own thread. We dont want your model to be ignored now do we

M4 I've been working for. This is the base for a bunch of different accessories, which is why there isn't much to it.
