Nice work Poop, especially in getting that texture done in 4 hours. :thumb:

I'm a bit curious about your choice to avoid using stacked UVW's on everything but the arm for this guy. I'm not used to psp/ds spec work myself, but I would have thought that with such limited texture space, the more UV stacking you can do, the better (without making him look too symmetrical of course).

Was the lack of UV stacking to give him an overall look of subtle asymmetry?

heh, I think ben/poop just ripped the logo from one of the contest header images..or he might have had it lying around somewhere (he's a mod here too) You certainly don't need the GA logo though, but if you want to include it in your image, I've uploaded a clean PSD here:

    http://30lives.com/gaorg/logo.psd

perhaps fred can host this somewhere on the server later.

I had some more time to work on my comp piece. My submit function to the final is going crazy so I emailed Blankslatejoe so hopefully I can still enter. Here is the final.

    It's done!

Here's my final submission. It was a learning experience. Definitely gonna be more aware of my uv space next time. I also really need to get some rigging experience with max.

Everybody did an awesome job. I'm looking forward to the nest comp.

billy - I'm working on getting yours in. It says its submitted under my name right now, which is a very odd glitch.

-edit: fixed. all good to go.

bahlswede: Very nice, definitely my favorite! He really makes me think of that little goblin dude from Samurai Showdown, but prettier

Really nice work Bahlswede. I can't help but think the background is a bit busy and distracts from the character. I'd suggest in the future leaving the contrast more shallow.

Dang, I love your base too, the bamboo is too cool.

Thanks for the advice Joe. Your comments here and on CGChat have really helped me a lot. Very nice work everyone. I like the colors you used bahlswede.
