    Guerrilla Bob

Developed by Angry Mob Games, the comedic IPhone shooter offers stunning visuals, an arsenal of kick-ass weaponry, unique enemies, explosive ammunition and non-stop humor .

Style: The characters and environments have a cartoony look, and are really low poly, mostly because of the iPhone hardware limitations.
For example, each character you could see below is under 300 triangles. We also managed to fit all the character textures on a single 256x256 texture.

To be able to make the environments as varied as possible, while reusing the models and textures, we used vertex lighting heavily. That worked out great to set the mood in the night time levels. All the lighting effects, like glows and shadows added a lot to the overall atmosphere, and they’re just simple additive or multiply materials on a flat plane.

We’re really happy that our title has been named as an IGF Mobile Finalist for Achievement in Art, the largest competition of its kind.

    Meet the enemies:
    A single Texture 256x256
    Tri: 250-300

I love it!! Kudos to you guys for being able to get such a sick looking game made. The style is awesome and I'm really impressed with what you managed to do within the limitations of the platform. Wish I had an iPhone so I could play it! Best of luck with this

    Thank you Guys

Crazyfool - yes its similar, at least the game controls are
Texturing was not that hard , it took a lot of time. The models are extremely low poly so the texture has to be impressive as possible, almost everything is mirrored and painted with Vertex paint.

We are working on the expansion right now, i will post some WIP later, and thanX for visiting

What did you find was the total tris count in the field of view that the iphone was able to handle?

    Thank you everyone

DigitalShock - it should be always under 10 000 tris, and the size of the texture is very important too.
