  2. Hi Evil (Ivo, old classmate), nicely done.

I think I've reached the 1 hour border with this one.

    It's done in Mudbox.

This actually looks like a lot of fun. I'll have to give this a try. Where is this base mesh you guys are talking about?

  5. I did not use the same base mesh as EVIL.

First of all, when you want to become a modeler learn to model in Maya, or 3ds max first!!!!! Don't choose the easiest way by using a modelcreator.
When you are a concept artist and uses 3d as an other technique for design stuff, I've nothing said!

To speed up my designprocess I use a tool called MakeHuman. It generates procedural human like models. There's a *.obj export. The topology is decent and it's FREE.

the fun with the basemesh is that you can just quickly have fun in mudbox and to try and experiment without having to go moder your own base..

Plus the guy made it available for free.. so why not have some fun with it.
I mean its cool to see that the basemesh doesnt make your mudbox result.. you can even use a cube as basemesh and you can still archieve great result, and just open the high res in retopo or zbrush 3 these days and you can paint poly's on your mudboxed sculpted mesh and use that then as your base mesh.

and krimble, show me a wire of your head!

  7. LOL, a wire of my head.
I have a wire but it's not a wire of my head, hehehe

Here's my basemesh and the all famous one and only wire.

EVIL, do you use retopo? I've seen some video's about it, and it looks really cool.
Am I right that you can reduce the polycount by painting new polygons?
Where do you use the tool for ?
