Mass Effect FanArt | Arkhange - Guedin - Jocz

    Hi guys,

Jocz and I are big fan of the Mass Effect franchise ( ok maybe I'm a big fan, and Jocz kind of like it hew: ), and since it was a while we worked on a personal project, we decided to try ourselves with a Mass Effect fanart ( and mostly train our hard surfaces skill ).
We used force on Arkhange to make him join us. Seems like it worked well

Not really sure about specifics yet, I guess it will be up to everyone. The point is to finish with a new portfolio piece.

    ---------------------------

Since I'm the one who created this thread, I'll fire the first shot.

I really like Tali character, so guess what ! I'll go with her. But I'll trade her outfit with an armor, just because I want to make hard surface. I'll try to make a N7 armor ( the default Shepard's armor ) modified for quarrians. As if everyone wore N7 armor in the crew, to make a kind of Shepard elite squad, or something like that.

    So here we go :

    Here's refs for Tali :

Size: 142.1 KB

And this is the famous N7 armor :

Here's a rough concept of what I'm aiming for :

And this is the body so far :

  2. I just wanted give you some advice on your character. Quarians are based on bird anatomy. So you will want to keep that in mind because birds don't stand on their feet, they stand on their toes. In fact many non-primate species walk on their toes rather than their entire foot. Sorry if you're already aware of this, the concept body had me concerned as I love Mass Effect too.

Sure ! The more the merrier, right ? Actually there's no constraint, do whathever you want : low poly, high poly, bust, had painted, ... anything. Just have to be Mass Effect related.

I look forward seeing what you guys will come up with !

hmmmm kinda busy with star trek and stuff, but hey this is pretty free form

and i guess there isn't really deadline, so what the hell, I'll try to think up something.

And guedin man i love the design for the armor. Quarian armor always seemed a little too pretty to me so I really like what you've come up with.

I'd love to join in to the fun as well! But maybe if I have some more time on my hands though. Wrex for the win!
    Someone ought to do Sovereign.

I just beat the first one for xbox. Need to play the second but have a dilemma, should I get it for PS3 or xbox. My xbox is older so doesn't have wifi so no internet connection. The ps3 one is overpriced so I will wait for it to drop down in price.

Wrex for the win. Shame there was no romance option with him. That would have been hilarious.

I might do a few speed sculpts.

  15. Get the ME2 for the 360. You can import your ME saves into ME2 and get access to perks and content that you can't get with a blank character. Plus, you get extra resources too.

    Thanks for the support !

@Turbo : Thanks, I hope she'll be pretty anyway. I love pretty girl/alien. I'll maybe make her helmet glass more transparent to finally see her face

@Jocz : It also time you rock this party !

@Arkhange : Of course you're in. Or maybe you prefer I'll go "talk" with you ?

@Maph : Yeah ! Sovereign is a great idea. I Hope to see someone pick him.

@Crazyfool : Aaah ! I'm fan of your work, so I'm more than interested in seeing a sculpt from you !

@Womball : Ps3 version should have better graphics since they used Mass Effect 3 engine with assets from the 2. But it should not be spectacular improvements anyway. The ps3 version should be something like 2 times more expensive, but it'll include all the dlc of the 360 version. So I guess If you planned to buy it soon, the 360 version will be more appealing.

I dunno how to get the DLC unless you can download it to cd from a computer. THat's how i had to do updates for xbox's os. No wifi on my xbox so haven't had a chance to mess with xbox live. More of a single player gamer anyway so hasn't been to much of a loss.

Although I'm currently playing Metroid Prime Trilogy which is supposedly 80 hours of gaming bliss. I only finished the first one when it came out in 2002. Than after that got Gears of War 2 to play. Than hopefully Mass Effect 2 will either be 40 for ps3 or 20 like the xbox 360 one.

I wouldnt mind getting it again on PS3, maybe when its cheaper tho. I got the demo and to me it looks like the heads have been upgraded a little and the bodies look like they have slightly sharper textures, environments looked the same though. You get to do an interactive comic I hear at the start which allows you to retrace your steps and make all the choices you would have made in the original game. I hear that you cant make the loving with Ashley anymore but that didnt affect me haha. Im all about the blue alien loving haha. Ashley annoyed the snot out of me.
