Messing around with a few ideas - need to tone back the ga logo - also looking to add some more sea wildlife, coral, jellyfish with obligatory bioluminescence and detail out a shipwreck. Oh and also maybe one of those mini subs. As well as sorting it's legs out....

Backlight or not to backlight? I can't help thinking I am losing something as I render this out:
    What do you guys think?

The color and feel of being underwater is perfect! Pull out even more highlights for sure, as underwater can have that effect due to surface lighting on the ocean top being reflected into the ocean. Keep the back light so we can get a clear read of your god at all times.

I like the perspective on this great underwater feel subtle school of fish and coral nice work. I would like to see the claw on the right open in attack ready to chomp down mode or chomping down on a god, and other claw (the one in the shadowy depth) to be closed so switch them around show what you god is capable of great work though

wow, im amazed. lets hope it doesnt come to surface :P

i think the cheesy lava looks good. it adds more design elements to it.

very nice rendering, good job, I think the only underwater god I have seen, quite original.

Thanks for the comments levArt, I think I agree on the lava - makes it a bit more interesting - although I suppose the water around it would be boiling so may have to use artistic licence with it...

yeah - I may revisit that guy after the war - I wanted to get away from humanoid as I though a lot of people would go down that route. Not sure if it will be a good decision or not

I would love to know how huge he in relation to human. I have somewhat an idea, maybe indicate that a bit more. Really nice underwater effect though.
