I was doing some quick paintover concepting last night and I decided to take my idea in a slightly different directions. Originally i was just going to do a hybrid between the CAP and WW themes but now I'm gonna shake it up a little. With my new idea, I'm gonna give her a more darker themed outfit with hints of CAP and WW's colors on her outfit. A little lore:

-Steve Rogers and Diana of Themyscira have a child together and name her Deanna
-Both are killed by combined enemy forces in later stages of their lives
-Having witnessed her parents gruesome deaths, Deanna is traumatized and buries her painful memories and brings herself to completely wipe her early years from her memory
-She shows up on the doorstep of an orphanage in tattered rags, bloody and dirty
-Deanna is raised by a foster family who nurtures her but she feels out of place and can't understand why. She finds that she has physical gifts that allow her to do things her fellow schoolmates can not.
-Plagued by gruesome, dark nightmares, she starts visiting a psychologist who helps her delve into her troubled past.
-With her memory restored, the anger inside her grows towards those that deprived her of her true life. She goes on a journey and a crusade to discover what her parents stood for and to exact revenge on those who killed them. With her superhuman abilities, she dawns as a new superhero utilizing Captain America and Wonder Woman's characteristics to gain her revenge and help those in need along the way. America's Wonder Girl is born...

So, this is a quick paintover of a wonder woman illustration by Roberto Campus. Just to be clear, NOT MY ILLUSTRATION. I merely used it to quickly rough out the direction I want to go in. I may not do a fully flushed out original concept due to time constraints. In any case, I tried to still maintain strong connections to both Captain America and Wonder Woman while making the overall feel darker(obviously). I think in the final model, the outfit will have zippers and some pouches. I plan on giving her a shield like Cap's which will serve as her weapon in my beauty shot and her base in the presentation shot so I will include it in her texture. I'm open to further suggestions but I probably won't make her too much more complex as I don't have much time to work on her by the deadline.

I like the idea of possibly the two biggest superhero icons of America combined in a dark way. I think maybe some 'dark' blues and reds would be good on the outfit.

Looking good, I like your idea. I agree with PhattyG though about having the darker blues, reds and yellow - it would really help tie in the characters. Looking forward to seeing your progress

So, I still need to play with the concept a bit more but I got started on my anatomy sculpt since her outfit will be mostly skin tight. Still a lot to do!
