I can't help you with a paintover but I have a small suggestion. I suggest you step down a few subdivisions to work on your muscle groups, everything is looking blobby and unrefined. You don't want to move up in divisions until you nail the forms, it will be much easier to adjust things

SveinY: Thanks for the paintover it will help me with my direction.

ScottyKay346: Thanks its a bad habit that I'm slowly breaking out of. I'm torn for the simple fact that I don't wanna have to redo the muscles again if I smooth out those clumps thats all. I spent so much time on those muscles alone. Unless there is a good non destructive way to get rid of clumps.

Updates are coming later this week. I'm working crazy overtime at my job. I haven't forgot about this project though. i might even have some small updates coming beforehand but working 12 hour shifts until Tuesday.

Here is a concept sheet I still need to work on the shield mechanism and how the armored boots will look I'm open for suggestions. I will try to draw a more final look of his weapon I'm trying to really narrow the direction on this and keep things consistent.

Mrpearlzildjian: Thanks man. I wanted my first complete character to have good quality to inspire others that are maybe peaking around or just learning. I also wanted to push myself hard and I have and I still have more pushing to do. I owuldn't recommend taking on such a big project for a beginner though especially if you have only dabbled in anatomy. I am literally learning anatomy in depth as I go with this project. It has improved my drawings as well though so its win win all around.

Elmo has helped me through getting started with learnign how to retopo in max and when he gives advice I take notes. Literally I have a wordpad full of them so special thanks to Elmo because if it weren't for his guidance I probably wouldn't be as far as I am. I have alot more humps to get over thats for sure. I'm ready though.

I need to fix my feet so that they are flush on the surface or flat. What is the best way to go about this?

I refined the head a bit, curved the pecs a little, trying to fix his top wrists but getting some weird pinching and its fighting me hard core I cant smooth out the surface. it still has those slits in there.

  19. Nice setup man, thumbs up for the mic.

About the feet, I would go flat with them, but I'm not sure what you plan to do with this character, is he going to have boots or are you practicing stuff and leaving your design for later?

    Keep it pumping neverthelessness

Thanks. He will have armored boots on eventually. I was working on focusing on getting the proportions and anatomy correct before I went on to do the armor as suggested by other members. Otherwise he would probably be covered in armor by now
