Cpcusac has entered the competition!

This is the style sheet that I started with for my concept of Rhino in the dark ages. I want to replace chain-mail with rhino hide and the metal plates with bone. Any comments and critiques are appreciated.

I used this image to quickly block out and sculpt a classic style Rhino so that I could better understand his character and form.

I then used this quick sculpt to play around a bit with color. I think I may stick with this color scheme, although I will lighten up the red in the nose so that he doesn't have a cold. :P


This image combined with my style sheet inspired my concept. I want to use the rhino skulls as a helmet and two larger ones for pauldrons. I then created a quick sketch and painted it with photoshop using the color scheme that I chose.

And looking very nice it is too Good job chap.

Have to ask though, your style sheey has tech and sci fi elements on but the title is 'Dark Ages', just wondering what your intented angle is?

The Gears of War/Unreal Tournament pics are on there because I want to design some very thick and clunky boots that look like rhino feet. I've also started looking at a ton of plate armor designs, so hopefully I'll have time to upload a second sheet and more refined concept tonight.
