2D Minicomp: Steampunk pets: Voting Booth Now Open

2D Minicomp: Steampunk pets: Voting Booth Now Open
Voting is now open for the 2D Minicomp: Steampunk Pets! Vote anytime between now and wednesday, midnightish.

Once again, this contest has a 'soft deadline', which means entries will continue to be submitted between now and the end of voting, with the advantage of those artists taking more time to polish their work, but at the disadvantage of possibly receiving less votes.

Regardless, voting itself is still as easy as it's always been. Just log in with 'remember me' checked, follow the link, and place your votes today!

There were a ton of great entries, follow the link and get your vote on!

    Goodluck all!

Hmmm.... I just realised as I clicked submit that I hadn't got round to fixing the brightness and contrast settings on my monitor

    Drat.

    Anyway...

Just had a look through the entries, and there are a load that show awesome technique, so out of those had to pick purely out of how much I liked the concept. Great stuff everyone!

    indeed!

I catch the contests when they start, kick a few ideas around and then get caught up in real work. The contests tend to end on Fridays, so if I happen to hop on GA.org that night, I figure... ah what the heck, I'll just whip something up and sleep in tomorrow. Usually takes me until 3 or 4. I'm such a lamer, but some of the contests are just too fun to pass up, and if i don't submit something (even late) then I will probably not find the time to come back to that theme again. I should set aside a half hour or so each day for mini-comps, then I might make it on time!

  10. hey all! Can't believe I haven't had any spare time time to work on my frog anymore...sooooo busy lately . The entries look amazin' as usual, i'm gonna have to post my last WIP as my final, apologies for it's roughness...it'll do for a concept sketch anyhoo, hope to have a bit more time for the next mini, good luck to all, cya soon.

Don't worry man, I kept mine pretty sketchy too. I think it suits the theme.

This was a brilliant minicomp, I really enjoyed creating my kangaroo and I discovered the meaning of steam punk.

I can't wait for the next one. What’s it gonna be Joe!?

(I know, patience is a virtue and all that.... I'm sure I will find out soon enough.)

How cool would it be if that was the next 3D Minicomp?!

I thought your Cat was great by the way. The mousetrap idea was pretty macabre, especially with all the mouse corpses still wedged in.

Well J S Morgan I quite like him and will probably develop this concept further, so you may well see him in the ring sometime soon.
