    Hi All,
Sending my portfolio out so figured i would show it off here, it would be good to hear what people think of it. Ive included sculpts aswell, since they may at some point become game meshes.

    cheers for looking

I thought you were just hiding the last few months, but I see now that you were just busy.

I think yoiu have a great style but all of your pieces are aimed at one genre which is basically cartoony. Don't get me wrong, your stuff looks great but I think it highly limits the type of games you can apply for. Studios working on anything remotely realistic are probably not going to give you even a shot to test since you have nothing in your folio that reflects that type of art. I think if you want to try to apply to many different studios, it is important to have more depth and wider range of art. Try to do some more detailed sculpts and realistic models with realistic shaders and texturing. Still, great work and good luck!

  8. UltraLord: thanks, been using my cgsociety and cghub page as my portfolio.

BiG ToE: ha yeah, been missing loadsa good comps due to getting this work completed.

sarakawa: totally appreciate your comment and see what your saying.
I get the chance at work to do some realistic work and it honestly doesnt hold my interest, i love more imaginary characters and creatures, its where my passion is and as such is where i want to move in the direction of career wise. I agree it means im only suited to the more cartoony/stylised studios, but to be fair, if i were to do a realistic character that proved i could do them, i wouldnt want studios to be under the impression i 'wanted' to do them just because i had some in my portfolio.

My portfolio reflects my preferred art style, Meg mucklebones shows im not all about simple smooth cartoon characters so if say i worked at a studio that was working on cartoony but then started on say a gears of war style game, i would be in my element with that aswell, ( maybe a much more detailed character to back that up would benefit me )

A piece that is missing from my folio since its not complete is a realistic grizzly bear,..complete with shaders, that could show more range from me,..but for now its still being worked on.

    cheers for the feedback
