    Cool stuff Alexson.

A couple of things I want to point out with your paintings. I'll use your latest sea witch to work with. Please don't mind the crude paintover, it was done with the mouse. Also sorry the image is so small I don't know why it's not showing up bigger. It's a 2mb file, but oh well, moving on!

With all your paintings you have a hint at direct lighting but then everything gets a wash with the values and things aren't as strong as they could be. With the sea witch you have your brightest value up on the top right, so I'm constantly looking up there regardless that I have this crazy sea witch right in front of me. So I did a filter lighting effects to drop the values a bit and funnel the image so there's more diagonals pushing the feeling of light coming in through the water. I reiterated the light further in the background to push the depth of the image. Also in terms of the sea witch, her design is fairly generic. If feels like the torso of a lady glued to octopus tentacles. She's this aquatic creature so really push that element into her humanistic qualities, whether it's patterns on her skin, multiple arms webbed hands, gills, a humanoid looking face. Those elements blur the line and will make her feel more believable in her space. One of my old instructors told me this, think 70% creature 30% human to get that nice integration. Also put some accoutrements on her, what makes her unique? I like the touch of the pendant around her neck but add in more than that. Really push it to make this a unique and interesting design.

Hey man thank you very much for taking the time to do the paint over and everything. Great points about the general design of the witch, I really just need to spend more time thinking through my characters and everything. Thanks!

Here's two more hands and some sketches for the new crimson daggers bloodsport. It's fun and challenging because I don't have any experience in creature design.

    Even more hands.

Some more designs for my tiger/dinosaur. The dinosaur anatomy is mostly based off of Allosaurus with some artistic liberties. Gonna do more sketches for his fur patterns etc.

    Thanks Amethyst

Been focusing more on drawing lately, been doing some stuff on paper. Figures and whatnot. Here's some anatomy I did in photoshop.

And here's some 1-2h speedies where I tried to implement what I've been studying. From imagination.

Some of the anatomy could be stronger in the speed paintings. You could also work a little more on your light sources. That Harley Quinn one could read stronger if the rim light wasn't hitting her so unevenly, which is weird since the fire is all behind her. Too much to critique everything, but there's a lot of nice stuff going on here. Your best works are your sketches for sure.
