Trying out a position with Face B

Now that I look at it, I am thinking I will lower his right arm (left if you were him) so it gives the effect like he will soon be pouncing on someone.

Hey Shane, very entertaining sketches and head designs! I'd personally love 'E' with a lower split jaw of 'C', but thats just my five cents... Please show some more bodies. Technically your linework is sweet but you could safe time if you'd concentrate on one or two outlines. Right now you have a few more lines slightly offset but all with the same line flow which unneccessarily blurs the whole thing. A useful practice is to draw from real life with a black outliner and really only focus on lines...I'm sure you'd quickly find to a more solid style of linework...Anyway, great work!!! Keep it up =P !

    Thanks for the comments!

Ramu - I can't remember the last time I touched my pen to my tablet, prolly a year ago  . I am definitely getting into the groove more and more each time I use it so hopefully soon enough I will be able to develop concepts easier like most of the people do. I have tried doing so many positions but they always end up looking weak and awkward. I am pretty new to character concepts and have never really been among so many great artists! I feel like this place will definitely allow my artistic skill to strengthen and mold. Anyway thanks for the comment, it definitely fuels me to create more so hopefully I will have something new today!!

I like the shape of "C", that one is really interesting looking!
He looks kinda sad though... but that can work!!!

    Keep up the good work!

Razvan-Sedekiah - I am going to experiment with C tonight, probably try mixing it with E as well. Thanks for the comment by the way!

The arms look good, nice experimentation w/color. Really? No B? Damn, I love that color pink, used to be my hair color and I miss it. Crai.... Like your new direction, good work

I am a little discouraged right now, I don't know what kind of color scheme to go with. I started a little something but it doesn't really fulfill my expectations and pop out right.

Hey, keep at it buddy. Try changing your background colour and working from a coloured ground (rust/blood red?) instead it might make your colours pop a little more. Stick with it.

Concept wise I think you got some nice shapes it just needs proportion tweaking I think. I'm not a fan of the weapon, I'd like to seem him swinging that morning star ball or carving it up with a mega-cleaver or soemthing like that. Good luck.

Nihilcon, thanks for the response man. I appreciate your input and I already changed the background as you suggested and it feels a bit better, next I will play with some skin colors and will eventually tweak the weapon.

Good luck! Green is in my opinion one of the toughest colors to get to sit on the page right. Make sure you never use it straight (like everclear..heheee). I like the last sketch best, the gaping maw has potential with its sucky voidness. Just lay down colors and see what happens, nothing bad will come of it.
