Ben Mathis, tutor to all, is now ready to take individuals directly under his wing for some serious knowledge injections. His nine shipped titles, four years in the industry, eight college workshops, and fifty-plus published tutorials have readied him for practically any problem you might have. His full time job is that of a technical artist, so he's used to problem solving and thinking quick. Ready to explain the why and the how, before showing you what to do, you'll walk away with a thorough understanding of the reasons for a particular path of asset creation. He'll help you think about the end result first, and think backward through all the steps you'll have to pass, so you can predict problem areas and solve beforehand, saving valuable time and keeping you from having to rush the important bits. This is a chance to not only get a new portfolio piece done with the help of a professional guiding your way, but a chance to look at game art as a problem solving process to enable you to teach yourself through out your career.

Fredrik Hultqvist, an enthusiastic game artist who prides himself in harassing artists to finish their entries, is now looking forward to tormenting 1 or 2 special disciples in every competition. As a lucky disciple, you can look forward to dealing with an amusing artist who would not hesitate to take out the baseball bat to make you perform. When he says please paint my fence, you should say, how many times and in what color?! He expects you to finish your work and he will be around 4 - 6 days a week on msn to make sure you make it to the finish line with something worthy of being your best art ever!

Marcus Dublin |

Marcus Dublin; a game artist and all around game art junkie who enjoys seeing the process of creating little digital miracles from conception to completion. During competitions, Marcus's goal is to guide artisans with raw talent and keep them focused on creating the best art they are capable of. To achieve this, this big brother will be on you like white on rice, available at a moments notice to act as your trainer, art director, and production manager to see to it that you get the job done.. and done right! Every step of the way, he will be offering tips, workflows and techniques to help you reach your goals throughout the competition. In the end, you will be left clutching a great end show piece that you can show off in your portfolio and/or in your demo reel as well!

Gavin |

Gavin Goulden, Character Artist for Piranha Games Inc. and Gameartisans.org pitfighter, is looking forward to tearing apart 1 or 2 recruits and building them back up as booty kicking, character art making, war machines! Gavin's goal is to assist promising artisans to refine their skills and create the best possible character art they are capable of. Gavin is easy to talk with and acting as a lead artist to you, he will make sure that as you cross the finish line, you will have the heart of your enemy in your hands... and a bad ass piece of work to show off!
