World Weavers Entertainment, Inc. is a small, independent game development studio composed of several veteran professionals in the game industry (Mass Effect 2, Tomb Raider, Call of Duty, Miner Wars, Heroes of Newerth ...). WWE currently sports a solid team of twenty talented individuals with skills ranging from project management, game design, and 2D art to software engineering, 3D modeling and animation, and even voice acting. World Weavers Entertainment is working on its first game, Ashes of Mankind with expectation of a crowdfunding campaign through Kickstarter by the end of the year.
WHAT THE COMPANY OFFERS YOU
World Weavers Entertainment will be unable to offer any upfront or immediate compensation to the developer who fills this role (which is also the case for current developers), however your time and talents are viewed as an investment towards the game and will be compensated for -- pending a successful campaign through Kickstarter. Beyond monetary compensation, WWE hopes to provide the developer who fits this role with the opportunity to work collaboratively with several likeminded and talented individuals.
THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY
The 3d Environment Artist will join our team of 3d artist and be responsible for the creation of AAA in-game Environment Assets such as Trees, Rocks, Ruins etc. Beyond the creation of the Ashes of Mankind environments, it is our desire to retain the developer for regular improvements or addition to our environments.
Must be proficient with Autodesk Maya and Photoshop or equivalent software(s) Experience with the process of baking normal maps Good understanding of next gen materials and shaders is a plus Good knowledge of Unity3D is a plus
ABOUT ASHES OF MANKIND
Ashes of Mankind (AoM) is a Player-versus-Player (PvP) oriented Massively Multiplayer Online First-person Shooter (MMOFPS) featuring tactical combat initiatives all happening in real-time. The year is 2151, when players find themselves on Ortus, an alien planet on which they must fight for their survival. The game contains a good offering of traditional sandbox elements such as giving the player the ability to construct their own cities and towns, conquer and lay claim to new territories, and control key resources and extraction points.
